New Zealand Certificate in Sport, Exercise and Leisure Operations (L3)

This programme is a great foundation for people building their careers in te ahumahi a-rēhia - the active, recreation, leisure and entertainment sectors. In these sectors, health and safety, customer wellbeing, and physical activity are key values.
By completing the Sport, Exercise and Leisure Operations certificate, you will understand the values, vision and philosophy of your specific workplace, and will be able to apply these principles in your role.
Level 3

New Zealand Certificate in Sport Coaching (L3)

This programme is for beginner-level coaches who want to delve deeper into the skills and qualities that make a great coach. Completing the Sport Coaching certificate will give you the skills and knowledge to coach participants at entry level across a range of sports and codes.

New Zealand Certificate in Sport, Exercise, and Leisure Operations (Player Development) (L3)

Playing sport at an elite level is a great career, but it doesn't last forever. This programme helps players learn more about themselves, their sport and their long-term ambitions.
By completing the Player Development programme, you will learn and demonstrate transferable skills that are valued by employers across te ahumahi ā-rēhia, the active recreation, leisure and entertainment sectors.

New Zealand Apprenticeship in Facility Operations (L4)

This apprenticeship is for people who contribute to the smooth operation of facilities, places and spaces in te ahumahi ā-rēhia - the active recreation, leisure and entertainment sectors.
After completing the Facility Operations apprenticeship you will be ready to operate, monitor and maintain facilities that are welcoming and fit-for-purpose, where people from all walks of life can come along and get involved.
Level 4

New Zealand Certificate in Cycle Skills Instruction (L4)

This programme is for people who help cyclists use their bikes confidently and safely.
By completing the Cycle Skills Instruction certificate, you will be equipped to instruct participants in the skills required for riding safely on roads and paths, and you will have specialist knolwedge in one of three electives.

New Zealand Certificate in Ngā Taonga Tākaro (L3)

This programme is designed for people actively involved in ngā taonga tākaro, such as: hakariki, kaipara, kī-o-rahi, kuku-mamau, manu pakanga, pipi, ruru-nei, tauronarona, tī-uru, poitoa, matimati or rākau. In completing this progamme you will be having fun while leading, teaching or playing ngā taonga tākaro with whānau, hapū, iwi or other rōpū.

New Zealand Certificate in Sport and Recreation (Programme Delivery) (L4)

This programme supports kaimahi who deliver pre-designed sport and community recreation programmes, events and activities under guidance. Completing the Programme Delivery certificate will prepare you to work in programme delivery or coordination roles, and promote an active and healthy population through recreation and sport.

Ready to go? Just click the "Enrol" button in the top right-hand corner of this website, set up a new account in our Learner Portal if it is your first time, and then click the "Enrol here" button. Select your programme from the dropdown menu, and follow the prompts to complete the rest of the form.

Your enrolment form will be processed by your learner advisor, and then sent to your workplace manager to review and sign electronically. Once your manager has signed, the form automatically gets sent back to you, and your learner advisor, to review and sign.
